Stainless Steel Flange Welding

Stainless steel flange material is usually pided into 304, 304L, 316, 321, 316L and other categories.

1, In order to prevent corrosion caused by the flange cover between the eyes, the welding current should not be too large, about 20% less than the carbon steel electrode, the arc should not be too long, fast cold layer to narrow the weld is appropriate.

2, The electrode should be used to keep dry, titanium calcium type should be 150 ℃ drying 1 hour, low a hydrogen type should be 200-250 ℃ drying 1 hour (can not be repeated repeated drying, or peeling of the skin is easy to crack), to prevent sticky medicine sticky oil and other dirt, so as not to cause the weld to increase the carbon content and affect the quality of the weldment.

3, Stainless steel flange welding, carbide precipitation by repeated heating, reducing corrosion resistance and mechanical properties.

4, Chrome stainless steel flange hardened American standard flange larger, prone to cracking. If using the same type of stainless steel welding rod (G202, G207) welding, must be preheated above 300 ℃ and 700 ℃ after welding slow cooling. If the weldment can not be post-weld heat treatment, should be used stainless steel flange electrode (A107, A207).

5, Stainless steel flange, in order to improve the corrosion resistance and weldability and appropriate to increase the amount of stability elements Ti, Nb, Mo, etc., weldability better than the stainless steel flange. When using the same type of chromium stainless steel flange electrode (G302, G307), should be carried out above 200 ℃ preheating and tempering around 800 ℃ after welding. If the weldment can not be heat-treated, stainless steel flange fittings should be used (A107, A207).

6, Stainless steel flange, welded flange electrode has good corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance, widely used in chemical, fertilizer, petroleum, medical machinery manufacturing.
